Xavi is all set to takeover Barcelona

The Barcelona legend Xavi Hernández has stated that he is already preparing to come back to Camp Nou in a matter of seconds, proposing the 2021 presidential political race as the ideal time to make the switch.

Xavi, who is right now in charge of Qatari side Al-Sadd, had a solid connection with Barcelona’s coaching work back in January yet dismissed the offer as he felt it was too early to move to Quique Setién in Barcelona instead of demanding 90min.

After Setién has arrived it hasn’t been going great, however, Barcelona has fallen behind in the title race at La Liga and the pitch results have not always been persuading, along these lines threatening Setién’s professional stability. In the event that Setién leaves Camp Nou, Xavi ‘s name could be at the top of the replacement list, and the previous midfielder admitted that he was already preparing to come back to the club during an interview with Casa Nostra, Casa Vostra.

He said: “Being a Barça coach is the greatest expectation I have now and getting Barça back to winning ways. Not me but rather these players triumphed, and Barça. And therefore, my technical staff are doing a great deal of planning for it and it makes us energized. I’m a club man. I want to return at the correct second to start a task from scratch. I’ve said it a ton of times yet I want to make choices about footballing in Barcelona. The stage will be set after the decisions, obviously. I’m not precluding anything. In January, they came to me, we were talking. I told them the circumstances and timing weren’t right, yet I trust they’ll return.”

Current club president Josep Maria Bartomeu is relied upon to walk away when his term terminates in 2021 and a clear picture is yet to be given of who may succeed him. The previous president Joan Laporta has already communicated interest in the activity, as has businessman Victor Font.

Interestingly, Font had recently examined his longing to work with Xavi at Camp Nou, saying (via Marca): “I’m on top of Xavi regarding the undertaking, and I love talking to him about football and I trust he can lead our football venture.”
