Current Arsenal defender Kieran Gibbs has joined David Beckham’s MLS franchise Inter Miami after his contract with West Brom expires in the summer. He has fallen the Hawthorns’ pecking order since then, and it has now been revealed that he will resign when his deal ends on July 1.
Inter Miami announced on their website, with sporting director Chris Henderson saying: “Kieran is a dynamic player. His technique, experience, and work rate would be helpful on the left hand. He has had a standout career at the highest levels so far, and we think he will carry the same degree of consistency to Inter Miami and the MLS this summer.”
“I’m incredibly happy to be launching the next phase of my career with Inter Miami this summer,” Gibbs said.
“I’m excited to immerse myself in a new culture and a new adventure in South Florida. I’m very fascinated with the Club’s vision, and I can’t wait to perform in front of The Siege, Southern Legion, and Vice City 1896.
In the meantime, my loyalty and concentration remain with West Brom. I will continue to give my all for the club until the end of the season, as I have done since signing.”
