The outbreak led Brazilian star Gabriel Jesus to contribute to needy.

Brazilian players from Premier League clubs continue to contribute to helping people from their home countries during the coronavirus outbreak.

Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus on Wednesday night gave three tons of food to favelas in Brazil.

The donation was made at a live show on YouTube provided by Brazilian singer Belo.

In their homes many local musicians organize concerts to collect food and hygiene products for the poor. Gabriel Jesus supports people with three tons of food in their home country; Gabriel Jesus called Belo to ask for one of his albums, ‘Intriga da Oposição,’ and announced his donation. The player remained on the line for a moment of singing.

It is not the first time Gabriel Jesus has been involved in humanitarian actions since the Coronavirus outbreak. He had already donated 400 food packages to Jardim Peri two weeks earlier, where he grew up.

This week the Brazilian FA revealed it’s using R$5 m (£740k) to help people in need.

Half the money was donated by members of the national team such as Gabriel Jesus and the other portion was given by the federation. They intend to support 32,000 persons for this number.
