Chelsea remains quick to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, yet according to a report, the Blues have also sketched out a backup target with Samuel Chukwueze from Villarreal in case they can’t land the pined for England winger.
In the last two seasons, Chukwueze rose as a key player for Villarreal. Overall he has 12 goals and from 68 games, seven assists. He has gotten four goals for this term and enlisted four Yellow Submarine assists.
This may not be a high number however the winger looks bound for greater things given his age and gradual improvement in each season. He is primarily a right-winger who likes to float inside his favorite left foot and can coast with electric pace past rivals.
Lampard has no left-footed winger like Chukwueze and he would offer another measurement that is so badly required right now.
Also, Chelsea could be available to the Nigeria international for around £45million, a much lower expense than the Dortmund star.
It is accounted for that Dortmund is demanding £100m+ for Sancho and that Manchester United is said to be in a more grounded position to land the England international. In this way, if Dortmund won’t bring down Sancho’s asking value, Chelsea will consider directing its concentration toward Chukwueze.
Chelsea is set to say goodbye this summer to two wingers, Pedro and Willian, as the veteran couple will see their separate contracts lapse.
An agreement to sign Hakim Ziyech from Ajax has already been accounted for and so he will fairly occupy one of the vacant spaces. Yet, in view of a drawn-out plan, Frank Lampard needs more ammunition out wide with enough quality and profundity pushing ahead. Chukwueze will have the extra soul with regard to attacking areas.
Last summer, Chukwueze was a need for Liverpool yet Jurgen Klopp still hasn’t restored the intrigue this term. Many sides of La Liga are as yet intrigued by him, however.
