Ex- Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino reportedly indicated that he be open to negotiations with Newcastle United after completing their takeover.
The Saudi-led buying of the Magpies is rumored to be near to completion, backed by the country’s public investment fund.
Prospective new owners are said to be willing to appoint a big-name boss to mark their arrival at St James’ Park, with one of the names mentioned is Pochettino – out of work after Tottenham was sacked in November.
Football Insider says the 48-year-old is interested in a job, despite previously saying he is skeptical about working for an unlimited-money team.
However, it has been confirmed that if they reach an agreement with Pochettino to replace current manager Steve Bruce, Newcastle won’t have to pay any fee to the Spurs.
