Victor Valdes, a former Barcelona goalkeeper, will return to the club.

Valdez will take over as goalkeeper coach in the team, according to Mundo Deportivo, as a result of personnel changes linked to the election of Joan Laporte as president of the club.

Valdes had already worked for the Catalan club in 2019 as the head of the Barcelona U19 team before being fired. He then led Horta, a club in Spain’s 4th League, until January 2021.

Laporta has been re-elected as the president of Barcelona. Without selling out, he promises to keep Messi and save the club’s finances.
