Andrew Robertson, a Liverpool defender, has spoken out about his team’s 0-1 loss to Chelsea in round 29 of the English Premier League.
“Five games in a row without a victory at home is inexcusable. When we lose 0-1, we become too cynical. You can’t do that. The ability to take penalties is also essential in football,” Robertson told BBC Sport.
“Liverpool would not be able to rely on the past. That’s it for the previous season. We’re not even close to being as nice as Liverpool should be. Our downward spiral continues, which is not good.
With fewer and fewer games remaining, we must exert pressure on the teams below us. People would believe we are in a crisis, so we must demonstrate that we are not. We are not doing that at the moment.”
