Real Madrid has problems with negotiation for a player

Lucas Vazquez, a Real Madrid utility player, has warned the club that he will not wait much longer for them to meet his contract demands. The 29-year-old, who plays primarily as a winger but has recently spent more time as a backup right-back, will be out of contract in the summer, and negotiations for a new contract have dragged on for what seems like an eternity.

Vazquez has been a key member of Zinedine Zidane’s team this season, starting 23 of his 26 games, and according to ABC, he wants a raise to reflect his importance to the team. He wants a 15% raise in pay, but Real is refusing to even come close to that.

Instead, they’re urging Vazquez to reduce his pay by about ten percent, as they’ve requested of everyone in the squad since the COVID-19 outbreak.

Real don’t see a way to agree to Vazquez’s demands after players like Luka Modric, Casemiro, Martin Odegaard, and Luka Jovic have already agreed to pay cuts, so talks about a new contract have come to a halt. (edited)
