Ramon Monchi apologized to Barcelona head coach and forward


According to Mundo Deportivo, Sevilla sporting director Ramon Monchi has apologized to Barcelona head coach Ronald Koeman and forward Lionel Messi.

Monchi apologized to the coach for calling him a whiner after he complained about the refereeing during the previous match.

Sevilla sources refused to reveal the specifics of Koeman’s conversation with Monchi but did say that the coach acknowledged the apology.

Monchi also expressed regret to Messi, with whom he had a spat. The apology was accepted by the Argentine.

Barcelona eliminated Sevilla from the Copa del Rey with a 2-2 aggregate score, but the Catalans were the better team in overtime.

Barcelona also defeated Sevilla 2-0 in a La Liga match on February 27.
