PSG club officials have continued to track Neymar’s adductor injury less than a week before the UEFA Champions League Round of 16-second leg match against Barcelona.
According to RMC Sport, the Brazilian forward made promising strides on Thursday by participating in a portion of the team’s collective training session. Neymar had only been participating in individual training sessions for the past few days, so this was a significant move forward in his rehabilitation.
For the time being, it is unclear if Neymar will be fit for PSG’s match against Barcelona next week.
PGS is currently planning to thoroughly assess Neymar’s condition “by the end of the week” before making a final decision on his availability for the return match.
PSG would most likely not rush him back into service. But, at the very least, he is making excellent progress from his injury and should be back on the field soon, which is great news for PSG’s coaching staff.
