PSG is interested in the AC Milan goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Leonardo, the Parisian sports director, knows the Italian well from his time at AC Milan, and has been trying for a long time to persuade the player to join PSG, writes ESPN about La Gazzetta Dello Sport.
In 2019, AC Milan refused to sell Donnarumma to PSG for EUR 20 million, but Leonardo is committed to getting the 21-year-old goalkeeper. The goalkeeper’s new deal with AC Milan expires this summer, so he can already negotiate with interested clubs.
AC Milan was previously stated to be prepared to pay Donnarumma EUR 7.5 million a year on a long-term contract, but player agent Mino Raiola insists on a shorter-term offer of EUR 10 million a year. It is said that Raiola wants Donnarumma to become world football’s second-highest-paid goalkeeper (after David De Gea of Manchester United).
If AC Milan or some other club meets the player’s financial needs, by salary, he becomes the world’s second goalkeeper. The same amount will be awarded to Atletico goalkeeper Jan Oblak.
This season, Donnarumma has made 20 appearances in Serie A, 7 of them for nil. Here, you can review its stats.
