Pep Guardiola insists Manchester City to be sharper in front of goal

Manchester City was dominant during a 2-0 win over Borussia Monchengladbach, but Pep Guardiola thinks their finish needs to improve.
Pep Guardiola believes Manchester City must be sharper in front of the goal if they are to end their quest for Champions League glory.

City won 2-0, with Bernardo Silva and Gabriel Jesus on either side of their half-time target, in the first leg of their last-16 tie against Borussia Monchengladbach in Budapest.

After the match, the City boss cautioned his players not to repeat the mistakes of botched chances that have tainted three consecutive quarter-final exits after talking to BT Sport.

He said: “It was nice in general. We were in charge of the game, we conceded one chance at the end. Unfortunately, one on one, against the defender and the keeper, we were not clinical enough upupfrontIn this competition, it’s something that we have to change.

The situation is clear-the one against the keeper or the defenders and we have not even been able to dribble.

You’ve got to be fine in this competition to make sure you go through.”
