Paul Pogba is still recovering from a thigh injury and will miss Manchester United’s midweek match against Crystal Palace, according to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Pogba will not be fit enough to return until at least March, according to Solskjaer, so he will miss Wednesday’s Premier League match at Selhurst Park.

At his pre-match press conference, United manager Jose Mourinho said, “Paul is still not ready for us.” “He’s getting better, but he hasn’t been training with the squad yet, so he won’t be going to London.”

Juan Mata and Phil Jones are also out, but Edinson Cavani has returned to the squad after recovering from a muscle injury.

Solskjaer is looking forward to getting Cavani back into the fold, but acknowledges that United’s first-team squad already has “a couple of questions.”

“Of course, we had a training session this morning. We’re doing great. It was a light one. We need to give as much time as possible tomorrow because there are a few doubts.

“It’s nice that Edinson has trained. Let’s hope there isn’t a backlash and he can get to the squad.”
