Noel Le Gré: ‘I would like to see Zidane as coach of France national team if Deschamps leaves’

President Noel Le Gré of the French Football Federation has said he would like to see Zinedine Zidane of Real Madrid as the head coach of the French national team.

“Zidane and I have a really good friendship. On a personal level, at least. The first person I would like to see in that role would be Zidane if Didier [Deschamps] finishes coaching the national team and I still keep my position,” Le Gré told RTL.

Since 2012, Deschamps has been in charge of the French national team. The team won the World Cup in 2018 under his leadership.
