Jose Mourinho, the head coach of Tottenham Hotspur, has summarized the results of the EPL’s 26th round match against Burnley (4-0).
“We required three points to climb up the table and keep the players’ faces smiling. That is the most critical point.”
Mourinho told Sky Sports, “We needed a strong win in the EPL. We got off to a strong start and scored on our first opportunity, and we were up 2-0 after the seventh. As a result, we went into halftime with a 3-0 lead. It’s vital for a team that hasn’t been playing well lately and is losing.”
“We usually start the game and concede after the first mistake,” says the coach.
“It was different today. Burnley fought to the end, but I don’t recall Lloris making any vital saves. From the beginning, we had full control of the game. We’re in desperate need of points. We were able to get them today without too many issues, and we were in urgent need of them. I am ecstatic for Bale and the team; Gareth’s talent is badly needed. I’m happy for Bale because he’s composed, despite what they write, tell, and show about him. I’m grateful because he’s capable of playing like he did today when he’s in good shape. He was outstanding, not just in terms of goals, but also in terms of adjusting the tempo and breaking into the penalty box. I am absolutely satisfied.”
