Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp has summed up the results of the 2-0 EPL match against Sheffield United.

On the game

A lot of people have written Liverpool off. That’s all right. Despite all our problems, we’re not far from a nice place on the table. The plan was to keep doing the same thing. When we played the way we wanted to, they couldn’t cope with us. We could have scored three times in the first half.

The chances we created were very good. The completion of attacks was good enough today, but we can improve. Normally, we are criticized, written off. Everything is fine.

The point was to show that we are still there. We play against Chelsea on Thursday, we have to show that again. We need to win matches, we know that. You can’t get into the Champions League without that. Today we did it, we are going forward.

On the goal after Firmino’s strike, recorded as an own-goal

Firmino scored, who cares? For him, it counts. I don’t care if it counts in the statistics.
