News

England’s national team faced Poland in the third round of World Cup 2022 qualifying.

England’s forward Harry Kane opened the scoring in the 19th minute, converting a penalty kick.

From the 11-meter line, the Tottenham forward scored his tenth goal for the national team. According to Opta Sports, he owns the national team record in this category, surpassing Frank Lampard (9 goals).

Kane also scored for England for the first time on Wednesday, being just the third player in national team history to do so on all seven days of the week. Lampard and Wayne Rooney were the first to do so.
