The French champions confirmed on Tuesday that Juan Bernat has extended his deal with Paris Saint-Germain for another four years, binding him to the club until 2025.
If he hadn’t agreed to a new contract with PSG, where he has played since joining Bayern Munich in 2018, the Spanish international left-back would have been out of contract at the end of the season.
Bernat has been out with a severe knee injury since September, despite playing 76 times for PSG and scoring six goals.
The 28-year-new old’s contract comes just days after attacker Angel Di Maria agreed to a one-year extension with a one-year extension option.
Leonardo will also have to renegotiate new contracts with star forwards Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, whose existing contracts are set to expire at the end of next season.
