Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho has spoken about his feelings after the club’s 0-3 loss to Dinamo Zagreb and subsequent relegation from the Europa League.

“I never like it when anyone tells in football, I won, they lost. We win, we tie, and we lose in my opinion. I’ve never been away from it,” the coach told the BBC.

“I am dissatisfied with the disparity of attitudes of the two teams. I am sad that my squad did not demonstrate on the field today not only the fundamentals of football but also the fundamentals of life, which are an appreciation for their efforts and complete commitment.

I truly appreciate everything said for us today by those related or unconnected to the club. I agree we must accept the concerns. But I don’t need any outside scrutiny. What is happening to my team is causing me much pain.

All I have to do is apologize to the Tottenham fans. I hope they share my feelings. Today was a matter of life and death, and we are currently dead. In several other games, I had similar feelings. Yet we will give it our all before the final game of the season.”
