As a stylish Tottenham Hotspur beat Crystal Palace 4-1 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Harry Kane set up two goals for Gareth Bale and scored two himself.
Bale started his comeback by scoring the opening goal, tapping home Kane’s cross (25), but Palace responded with a stunning header from Luka Milivojevic’s delivery (45+1).
Spurs upped the ante after the break, regaining the lead through Bale’s sixth goal in six games, a close-range header from another Kane assist, his 14th in the Premier League this season (49), before Kane added a brilliant double of his own.
Kane began by curling a stunning, sweeping effort into the top-left corner from the edge of the box (52), before finishing off a fine team step from Heung-Min Son’s unselfish middle (76).
Though Bale continues his comeback, Tottenham’s talisman Kane has now been directly involved in 40 goals in 36 games this season in all competitions (23 goals and 16 assists), the most of any Premier League player.
Spurs are now in sixth place, just two points behind the top four with 11 games left, while Palace is in 13th place, eight points above the relegation zone.
