Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has admitted that when he was in charge of Barcelona and Bayern Munich, he fantasized about working in England.
“I feel so amazing about the five years I spent at Manchester City. I’m in a great mood right now. Even though we didn’t win any trophies last season, I felt the same way. Guardiola told Rio Ferdinand, “I feel fine, I have friends, I feel safe, I feel loved by the fans, the team follows my ideas, and I enjoy working with these players.”
“I am fortunate to work in such a wonderful setting. In England, I despise November, December, January, and February because I yearn for warmer weather (laughs). However, I have everything. Anything I need to complete my task. That is why I have decided to extend my contract with Man City. It is the only explanation.”
“I’m not saying I was bad at Bayern Munich or Barcelona, but I wanted to work in England while I was there. I wanted to work in a place where Shakespeare, The Beatles, and Oasis were all popular. England isn’t just about football; it’s also about cinema and theater. A unique country.”
