Coach Hansi Flick’s potential to lead the German national team has been announced.
The 56-year-term old’s is set to expire in 2023. According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Flick will only be able to leave if Bayern finds a substitute.
Flick’s assistant Miroslav Klose is not in the running, but RB Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann is.
It was previously reported that current German national team coach Joachim Loew had asked the German Football Union to terminate his contract after Euro 2020. Initially, the deal was set to last until the World Cup in 2022.
