Tottenham head coach Jose Mourinho’s future at the club is unlikely to be decided before May. Tottenham head Daniel Levy wants to wait until the end of the season before deciding on the Portuguese specialist’s future.
According to ESPN, Mourinho’s sacking will cost Tottenham around £30m. He has a contract until 2023. It is noted that Mourinho has been hired to ensure Tottenham wins trophies.
The Londoners are close to doing so – they will play Manchester City in the League Cup final in April. Levy also does not rule out that Tottenham could repeat the path of Manchester United, with whom Mourinho took the Europa League.
However, the 58-year-old needs to produce results in the short term as well.
Tottenham is ninth in the EPL after 23 games.
