Allan, an Everton midfielder, has confirmed that he has prohibited his son from purchasing a Cristiano Ronaldo jersey because ‘Juventus are big rivals of Napoli.’
The Brazilian spent the rest of his career in Italy, first with Udinese in 2012 and then with Napoli for five years.
During an interview with the Liverpool Echo, Allan admitted that when it comes to Bianconeri memorabilia, he puts his foot down.
“(My son Miguel) adores football; he is always watching it, and he wears Everton shirts as well as shirts from other teams on which I played. Together with my daughter at home, he is my biggest motivator.
“We are huge Cristiano Ronaldo supporters, but he has always had a Ronaldo shirt, but he is not allowed to have a Ronaldo Juventus shirt because they are Napoli’s biggest enemies, because there are a lot of Real Madrid No7 shirts at home. That’s completely natural.
“My boy, like many other children, fantasizes about scoring goals and idolizes goal scorers.”
Allan recently shaved his head in solidarity with his nine-year-old son, who has alopecia.
