USA Women co-captains Alex Morgan and Megan Rapinoe will appeal against their loss said during a lawsuit over fair compensation with the men’s national team.

A California judge ruled out allegations made by the ladies that they were underpaid compared to the men’s team.
“We were so surprised-we’re surely getting to appeal” Morgan said, talking in morning America.

“This move came out of leftfield for us. I feel it had been very surprising on each side. If anybody knew anything about the guts of this squad, we’re warriors and we’re getting to keep battling for it together.”

The long-running dispute with US Soccer from the planet Cup-winning squad was a loud and contentious struggle and therefore the participants were demanding $66 million in damages under the Equal Pay Act.

“During the plaintiff duration, the Women’s National Team was paying higher on both a gross and an actual per-game basis than the Men’s National Team.” the court noted in its summary judgment.

Ballon d’Or winner Rapinoe last year said she doubted the validity of the summary judgment.

“If I receive one dollar per time I play and a person earns three dollars only because I win 10 games and he wins just three games-then I earn 10 dollars and he’s earned nine dollars – I’m unsure how I make extra money,” she said.
Many of the high-profile supporters of the team, including women’s sports icon Billie Jean King and potential US Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, expressed their protection when news emerged.

The court has permitted unfair medical, travel, and training charges to maneuver to the trial, which is predicted to start June 16.
