Robert Moreno, former assistant to Luis Enrique at Barcelona and new Monaco boss, claims to find out that Neymar is being sought back within the next transfer window at Camp Nou.
Rumors connecting international Brazil with a retracing of his steps to Catalunya emerged almost as soon as he connected during a record-breaking contract with Paris Saint-Germain.
Three years were spent within the Paris, but Barca remains keen to return to familiar surroundings a longtime favorite.
So far, those attempts have come to zilch, but momentum is predicted to renew.
Moreno says that’s getting to be the case, with the ex-Spain boss acknowledging that he can understand why the Blaugrana would want to re-sign a player he once worked with under Luis Enrique during a glittering period of success.
Moreno told El Transistor, “I would re-sign Neymar for Barcelona”
“At the top of the day, Barcelona must get the simplest players within the world, and Neymar is one among them, a player who makes the difference. I feel they need him needless to say,” added Moreno.
Moreno is currently keeping an eye fixed on Camp Nou activities from afar, that specialize in a high-profile Monaco post.
Their preparation for 2019-20 was unexpectedly suspended, with the choice to not resume competitive play in Ligue 1 amid the coronavirus pandemic happening.
The call has not been widely well-received, leaving Monaco with a ninth-place finish, but Moreno is trying to require positives from a test situation.
He added: “On the one hand, we didn’t love it because we didn’t agree on the standings and that we were overlooked of Europe, but it gave some assurance because [the French Government] extended the measures [of banning sport] until July.” that permits us to start out the pre-season in July and begin the league at the top of August.
