McGinn’s late goal saved Austria from loss

The Austrians soon demonstrated who would win the match against the Scots. They quickly took the lead and had a significant edge over their opponents, who had reduced their game to a deep defense. Sasa Kalajdzi squandered an early chance for the Austrians. Then Christoph Baumgartner made a risky strike as well.

Moldova comfortably beat the Faroe Islands in the second contest. The hosts took the lead in the ninth minute thanks to a goal from Ion Nicolaescu.

In the 61st minute, the same player came close to extending the lead but hit the post. Meinhard Olsen’s lucky goal in the final minute gave the Faroe Islands an equalizer.
