Marcus Tavernier grabbed a goal and assist as he helped Bournemouth produce one of the most comfortable football results of the weekend in the Premier League. Marcus Tavernier gleefully accepted the gift (18) after the England goalkeeper mishandled Dominic Solanke’s shot, and Kieffer Moore doubled Bournemouth’s advantage with a close-range header. Tuesday saw Bournemouth humiliate Everton 4-1, and substitute Jaidon Anthony sealed another strong home performance by heading in a third to add to Frank Lampard’s misery. Everton was eliminated from the Carabao Cup as a result.
It was Pickford’s first mistake that resulted in a goal in the Premier League since March’s matchup with Tottenham. Tarkowski missed with a header, Patterson missed with a volley, and Bournemouth eventually scored the third goal to defeat their opponents. Anthony scored his second goal in a week against Everton only seconds after coming on to replace Moore. Anthony snuck behind Iwobi to meet Cook’s free-kick and head home. Everton has won just three of its 27 away games, earning fewer away points (16) than any other consistently-present team in the Premier League.
