Zlatan has been called up for Sweden’s World Cup 2022 qualifying games

Football News

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the AC Milan striker, will return to the Swedish national team.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the 39-year-old forward has been named to Sweden’s preliminary squad for the 2022 World Cup qualifying games and a friendly against Estonia in March.

The player’s call-up to the national team has yet to be confirmed by Milan. The situation is also contingent on how soon the Swede recovers from the injury he sustained in the Serie A match against Roma on February 28th (2-1).

Janne Andersson and Ibrahimovic had a strained relationship, but that has now been resolved.

From 2001 to 2016, Zlatan played for Sweden. He is the team’s leading scorer with 62 goals in 116 games.

The striker has 14 goals in 14 games in the current Serie A season.
