According to Diaro GOL, Zinedine Zidane allegedly drafted a list of five players who were blacklisted at Real Madrid.
The Frenchman has a reputation for struggling to get along in the past with selected players. Superstars like Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez have suffered unfair treatment from Zidane, and the manager now has five other players from his current squad who may face the same fate.
Isco is first on the list. Formerly an important player in Madrid, the former Malaga midfielder played a crucial role during the historic three-peat Champions League. Isco has, however, played a very intermittent role at the club since last season.
The midfielder is keen to leave this winter and, according to news from the Mirror, Arsenal is reportedly preparing to sign him on loan.
Next in the spotlight is Alvaro Odriozola. The Spanish right-back was never part of Zidane’s plans and was sent to Bayern Munich last season on a six-month loan, where he won the Champions League, Bundesliga, and DFB Cup.
Odriozola has appeared only once in La Liga since his return, though, and also picked up an injury during his first game of the season. The former Real Sociedad man has been relegated to the bench since then.
Another defender to appear on the list is Eder Militao. As Zidane now chooses to use Nacho Fernandez as his second choice defender due to his experience, the Brazilian has dropped down the pecking order at the club.
Since finalizing his transfer in 2019, Militao has struggled to adapt to life in his new setting. This season, the center-back has only played less than 200 minutes in La Liga, and it seems like his Bernabeu future is grim.
The final entries on the list are Luka Jovic and Andriy Lunin. Following Zidane’s decision against Celta Vigo, the Serbian striker’s career in the Spanish capital may be well and truly done.
