West Ham United enquires about Real Madrid forward

West Ham United have informed Real Madrid about the prospect of signing Luka Jovic, an out-of-favor forward, initially on loan but with a purchase option.

Jovic, 23, only joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2019, but the Serbian marksman is facing the ax after failing to reproduce his once prolific form at Eintracht Frankfurt.

Real Madrid’s 23-year-old has played in all competitions in 32 matches, but on only two occasions he has reached the back of the net; a strong contrast to the pace he scores for Frankfurt.

Los Blancos’ manager Zinedine Zidane has finally run out of patience with Jovic and is actively trying to offload him, a recent article from Spanish outlet Marca said.

As per Sky Sports, the Hammers have recently seen striker Sebastien Haller join Ajax in a contract worth £ 20.2m. However, despite Moyes’ recent attempts to cool rumors that they are not yet in the market for replacements, we understand that the recruitment specialists of the Hammers have not stopped approaching Real Madrid.

How much the La Liga giants will allow Jovic to leave for is not yet clear, but they are expected to lose a large chunk of the £ 56.7m they initially paid for him.
