Paris Saint-Germain is officially confident that it will reach an agreement before Monday’s transfer deadline to sign Dele Alli, the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder.

The 24-year-old, who fell out of favor this season under new manager Jose Mourinho, is determined to land Mauricio Pochettino, the former Spurs boss.

The Daily Mirror reports that Tottenham will not allow Alli to leave permanently, although a loan deal remains a possibility, especially if Mourinho’s side can find a replacement first.

Spurs are understood to have rejected three offers from the French champions for the midfielder last summer, but an agreement to be agreed before 11 pm on February 1 seems more likely.
