Leicester City has announced that forward Kelechi Iheanacho has signed a new contract extension until 2024.
The 24-year-old Nigeria international, who joined Leicester City from Manchester City in 2017, has been in excellent form recently, scoring nine goals in his last nine games in all competitions.
In March, he scored five goals in three Premier League matches, earning him the title of Premier League Player of the Month.
“I can’t express how I felt,” Iheanacho told Leicester’s official website. “I’m overjoyed, overjoyed, and overjoyed! It’s an exciting time for me, and I’m grateful that Leicester City has extended my deal. I’ve had a wonderful time here. It hasn’t been convenient, but there are a lot of nice people here who are fun to work with. They are pleasant people who have made me feel at ease and welcome since I arrived.
It’s been a joy to be here. It’s more like a family. I’m glad to be here, and I intend to stay for a long time.”
