AC Milan announces the signing of Mario Mandžukić

AC Milan is pleased to announce Mario Mandžukić’s signature. Until the end of the current season, the club and the striker have settled on a deal with an option to extend the contract for the next one.

Mario Mandžukić was born in Slavonski Brod (Croatia) on May 21, 1986. He began his professional career with NK Marsonia in 2004 before joining NK Zagreb and GNK Dinamo Zagreb. He moved to Germany in the summer of 2010 to play for VfL Wolfsburg (60 appearances and 20 goals) and Bayern Munich (60 goals) (88 appearances and 48 goals). He went on to play for Atletico Madrid in the 2014/15 season, scoring 20 goals in 43 appearances before joining FC Juventus.

He made 162 appearances during his five seasons with FC Juventus and scored 44 goals. He joined Qatari side Al-Duhail with one goal in 7 appearances in January 2020.

24 trophies have been won by Mandžukić, including 1 UCL, 1 UEFA Super Cup, 1 FIFA World Cup, 9 championships, and 12 national and Super Cups. With 33 goals in 89 games, he is the Croatian national team’s second-best scorer ever.
