Aaron Wan-Bissaka, a Manchester United defender, is reportedly ready to leave England if he is not picked for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

The 23-year-old has only made one appearance for the Three Lions and was forced to withdraw due to injury. Despite having a regular starting spot for his club, the right-back is viewed as a lower-ranking member of his country’s squad.

Trent Alexander-Arnold of Liverpool is still the first choice, but Kieran Trippier, Kyle Walker, and Reece James are all preferred.

England’s qualification campaign for the 2022 World Cup starts later this month, with three games scheduled.

Wan-Bissaka, according to The Athletic, is willing to commit to DR Congo if he is not called up to Gareth Southgate’s squad.

The former Crystal Palace player is of Congolese descent and was born in Croydon. He’s already played for Congo’s under-20s side, something he’s even done for England at the same stage and for the under-21s.

Wan-chances Bissaka’s of making England’s senior squad for the European Championships this summer seem slim, considering that he has yet to play a single game in the build-up.

It’s uncertain if Southgate will invite him into the squad ahead of the tournament for the three qualifiers against San Marino, Albania, and Poland.
