Tottenham striker Harry Kane admitted that he wants to win ‘team trophies’. Tottenham lost the Carabao Cup to Machester City 1-0 on Sunday. Reports suggest that Kane will hand in a transfer request if they fail to make it to the Champions League next season. The England captain has made it clear that he will not make a decision about his future before the European Championship in the summer.

Harry Kane has not won a single trophy since making his debut for Tottenham in 2011. Tottenham has now been runner-up on three occasions with Harry Kane. They have lost in the EFL Cup in 2015 and 2021 while finishing as the runner-up in the Champions League a couple of years ago.

Tottenham striker Harry Kane teammate Kyle Walker has won seven trophies since leaving Spurs for Manchester City. He will win his eighth major trophy if they can win the Premier League this season.

“When I look back at the end of my career, these are all the things I’ll go over and take in a little bit more, but the goal right now as a player is to win team trophies,” Kane said. “As much as this is great, I want to be winning the biggest team prizes. We’re not quite doing that. It’s bittersweet, but it is what it is. I’m proud to win [Premier League Player of the Year], it’s been a good season on the pitch.”

Harry Kane was named as the 2021 Player of the Year at the London Football Awards. He has scored 21 goals and has 13 assists to his name this season. He beat his teammate Heung- Min Son to the award.

“[Heung-Min] Son has been incredible,” Kane added. “We have a really good connection, a really good understanding. We get on really well on and off the pitch. We’re good friends and I’m happy to see him playing well too.”
