Tottenham refuse the first chance to sign a Real Madrid star

Football News

If Tottenham Hotspur wants to sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid permanently this summer, they will have the first refusal.

Bale returned to Spurs on loan last summer after leaving for Real Madrid in 2013 and has since found form.

Bale’s future after the season is still uncertain, but according to Eurosport, Spurs have the first refusal on him if they want to sign him permanently when his loan expires.

According to the paper, while negotiating Bale’s temporary return to north London last summer, Daniel Levy agreed to a compromise of the first refusal, and the club wants the 31-year-old to stay.
