Tottenham offers their stadium to the NHS for COVID-19 vaccine center

Football News

For use as a COVID-19 vaccine center, Tottenham is reportedly giving up their stadium to the NHS. Two vaccines have now been licensed for use in the United Kingdom, with the Pfizer jab beginning last month and the Oxford University/AstraZeneca jab also starting in January.

The challenge now will be to get as many people vaccinated as soon as possible amid the country’s highly alarming recent spike in cases of coronavirus. It may be vital to use large areas such as football grounds, so it’s heartening to hear the Daily Mail announce that Tottenham is expected to offer its stadium for use.

Spurs have also previously allowed their home ground to be used as a testing site for Covid, and if the NHS could use it to get large numbers of people vaccinated, it will be another major aid from the North London club.
