Torino is in 17th place with 20 points after this victory, while Cagliari is just below in 18th place with 15 points. The first is Inter with 50 points. In the first half, Cagliari prevailed but capitulated to a Bremer header as Torino took the relegation six-pointer victory away.

After a tense start, Cagliari grew into the contest, the strike of Giovanni Simeone deflected off Bremer to skim the far post and Razvan Marin blasted just over.

On 84 minutes, it was very nearly 2-0, but Cragno made a desperate save on Belotti from the point-blank range after Wilfried Singo had sent him clear. Again, it was Torino who almost scored another as Cagliari poured forward, Cragno with a huge reaction save on Tomas Rincon set up by Belotti.
