Toni Kroos Real Madrid Retirement Plan Revealed

Toni Kroos has expressed his intention to withdraw from Real Madrid. The 31-year-old midfielder keen to improve on his record-breaking performances at the Santiago Bernabeu. In 2014, the World Cup winner was flown to Madrid to say goodbye to his roots at Bayern Munich. Over 300 appearances for Real, including two La Liga titles and three Champions League titles, have been made, and the Germany international intends to live out his career in his new surroundings. Toni Kroos Real Madrid Retirement Plan: What Did He Say?

Kroos told Real Madrid TV about his plans: “I strive to give my best in every game, and every move I make that doesn’t hit my teammate irritates me. In this way, I try to reach for perfection, though you will never be flawless. I practice it and have been working on it for many years. As I’ve always said, I plan to retire here, and that’s exactly what I want to do.”

Kroos Real Madrid Record

Kroos also contributed his entry to the history books in Madrid, in addition to his multiple major honors. He has 309 appearances for the Blancos, more than any other German. Kroos has surpassed Uli Stielike in that category, with legends such as Gunter Netzer and Bernd Schuster following in his wake.

“It’s something special. When you look at the Germans who have played here, you see major names like Netzer, Schuster, and Stielike. Passing Stielike, a club legend makes me very proud. It’s a special album, and I’m thrilled to have arrived at this point,” he said of another noteworthy accomplishment.

Kroos Contract

Kroos signed his last contract with Real Madrid in 2019. A four-year contract is in place to keep him until the summer of 2023. He seems to have plenty of football left in him and will be trying to negotiate new terms at some point when he strives to meet his goal of retirement at the Santiago Bernabeu.
