After the Bundesliga match against Borussia Dortmund, Bayern forward Thomas Muller commented.
“We dominated in part because of our calmness in the construction of the game in the first 30 minutes. Through quick, fast passes, we tried to get into the other half. But we had an unfortunate place when we lost the ball. Gladbach waited, closing the middle. They were very passive for the first half-hour. Unfortunately, both of our ineffective passes were turned coolly into goals. They didn’t have any more scoring chances.
As we moved into the attack, we lost the ball – after such defeats, it is not easy for central defenders to defend. We started pressing on the opponent’s goal in the second half, but we gained too little from this siege,” Muller said.
This is a pattern already: in the first round, Gladbach defeated Bayern Munich. It worked in a row for the 4th season.
