After private negotiations, Borussia Dortmund and the goalkeeper Roman Bürki agreed to a premature expansion of the deal. Bürki ‘s term, which had been set to lapse in 2021, will currently proceed for another two years until 30 June 2023.
“We are pleased that we will keep on having one of the most predictable target attendants in the Bundesliga between the Roman Bürki sticks. That means we made sure about a brilliant player for an important situation in the long haul. For Roman, it speaks volumes that he has already kept 12 clean sheets this season, “announced brandishing director Michael Zorc.
Swiss shot-stopper Roman Bürki came to Dortmund in the summer of 2015, from individual Bundesliga team SC Freiburg. He’s since made 206 serious appearances and holding 75 clean sheets for BVB.
“I am happy at Borussia Dortmund and feel the certainty that the club management, the coach, and my kindred players have placed in me,” the 29-year-old said.
