Sweden booked a place in the knockout stages of Euro 2020 after a 3-2 win over Poland. Victor Claesson scored a last-gasp winner as Sweden pipped group favorites Spain to the top spot. Two goals from Robert Lewandowski was not enough as Poland was eliminated from the tournament.
Poland needed a win to reach the knockout stages but got off to the worst possible start. Emile Forsberg put the Swedes up in the 2nd minute with a neat finish. It was end to end after the goal. Lewandowski struck the post twice in the first half before grabbing one back. He then added another late on to ensure a nervy finish. As the poles went in search of a goal, there were spaces behind. Viktor Claesson capitalized on this space to give the swedes the win and top spot in Group E. They will head to Glasgow to take on the Czech Republic.

Man of the Match – Emil Forsberg
There were plenty of candidates as Sweden got the better of Poland. Robert Lewandowski almost turned the game back in Poland’s favor with two goals, helped by the impact of Przemyslaw Frankowski off the bench. Sweden’s substitutes were just as impressive, Dejan Kulusevski providing two assists and Viktor Claesson scoring the winner. Forsberg now is tied in the golden boot race with 3 goals.
