Suning has rejected the 750 million euro bid by BC Partners to buy a majority stake in Inter, according to several Italian reports.
As confirmed by La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Il Corriere Dello Sport, and Tuttosport, the British Fund has made an offer to buy a majority stake in the club.
The plan is in the region of EUR750m, but demand is close to EUR1b.
According to Tuttosport, BC Partners has promised an extra EUR 200m to fund short-term loans, and the Financial Times shows that Suning is ‘rushing to raise at least $200m in emergency cash.’
BC Partners’ exclusivity period ended in January, which means Suning is going to hear deals coming from several suitors.
