Diego Simeone, the head coach of Atletico Madrid, has spoken out about the pressure of winning the Spanish title.

“It’s perfectly natural. We’ve been in first place for almost the whole season. We still have 11 games to play,” the coach told Marca.

“People say Barcelona is struggling, but look at what they accomplished in Paris. They’ve elected a new president, and the anticipation is building. Real has always been able to score points in their games. We have a job to do, so we keep going forward. Behind us, two monsters want to be where we are.”

Atletico Madrid currently tops the table with 63 points. Real Madrid leads with 57 points, while Barcelona is in second place with 56 points and a game in hand.
