Roma striker Edin Dzeko is reported to have emerged as a priority target for Juventus this summer. Maurizio Sarri, Juve’s manager, needs another No 9 in his squad, probably leaving Gonzalo Higuain at season end.
Now, Tuttosport reports that Sarri’s urge to bring in Dzeko, a player that the coach has long respected, might be fulfilled.
Roma is currently suffering from financial distress, which could be alleviated through the sale of their talisman. The newspaper adds that although the Old Lady is also involved in the full-back Riccardo Calafiori in Primavera, the two clubs are already deep in negotiations.
Dzeko, who turned 34 this March, has seventeen goals this season and nine assists in 35 matches.
Edinson Cavani is said to be closing in on a free transfer, which would essentially replace the Bosnian one.
