According to rumors, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is open to managing Barcelona in the future. Despite rumors that the Nou Camp club is interested in Arteta, the Spaniard is completely committed to his Arsenal project.

Joan Laporta, the frontrunner for the Barcelona club presidency, is said to be a fan of Arteta, according to reports from a Catalan radio station on Monday.

Arteta is in his first managerial role after working as Pep Guardiola’s assistant at Manchester City for over three years.

In December 2019, the former Arsenal captain was appointed as Unai Emery’s permanent successor.

In his first season in charge, Arteta led Arsenal to FA Cup glory and the Community Shield.

Arsenal won the FA Cup in Arteta’s first season as manager, and he also won the Community Shield at the start of this season.

The Gunners are currently in 10th position in the Premier League table, eight points behind the top four teams.

Despite a poor domestic season, radio station RAC 1 claims that Laporta is considering Arteta as a possible replacement for Koeman at Barcelona.

Barca has had a frustrating season, with their hopes of winning La Liga in jeopardy and a 4-1 deficit in their Champions League last-16 tie against Paris Saint-Germain after the first leg.
