Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski was forced to leave training on Thursday morning due to an undisclosed matter, just two goals away from breaking Gerd Müller’s Bundesliga goal-scoring record. As the Polish Hitman walked off the pitch this morning, Bild caught the action on camera and noted that the star player was irritated.
Dr. Jochen Hahne, squad doctor and physio Gianni Bianchi went “Lewy” from the square to the hotel. The highest scorer was enraged.
For the Pole, a breakdown will occur at the worst possible moment. The title is safe, but for Lewandowski, the landmark 40-goal milestone set by Gerd Müller remains a personal goal (75). At the moment, the Bayern Munich star is still without a hit to catch up to the “national bomber.” The EM is approaching quickly.

The Poland international’s goal-scoring form from last season has continued this season. After RB Leipzig was defeated by Borussia Dortmund, he helped Bayern Munich secure the Bundesliga for the ninth time in a row.
Lewandowski has scored an impressive 39 goals in just 27 league games. He requires two more goals in the final two games of the season to equal Gerd Muller’s 1971/72 Bundesliga scoring record.
The striker’s search for the record. However, may have just been dashed, as Bild notes that he suffered an injury in training.
The seriousness of the problem is unclear. But he will miss the remainder of the season if he is out for longer than nine days.
