Since having surgery to mend the damaged meniscus in his left knee, Sergio Ramos broke his silence. In a video in which he explained that he was advised to undergo surgery on doctor’s orders, the Real Madrid captain went to social media to give a message to Madridistas. He had reached the limit.
I’m back home now. I had to undergo surgery in the end, and nobody wants to be in that position. Fortunately, everything turned out extremely well. I was advised to have surgery by the doctors, there was no other option open to me,” explained Ramos.
The captain was positive about his chances of playing this season again: “I’m very happy with how it all turned out and I’m going to try and be back as soon as possible to help the team because it’s still a long way off at the end of the season. I would also like to thank Doctor Leyes and all his team for the outstanding work they did with the operation and how they handled me.”
Ramos also took a moment to say thank you to all who sent his support messages: “And, of course, I would like to say thank you to all of you who sent me good messages and good wishes—I was touched, it encouraged me to come back stronger.” And we’ll be there. All of the best.”
