PSG fires German coach

Football News

After days of speculation about the transfer, Paris St-Germain announced that German coach Thomas Tuchel had been fired. The club said a “deep analysis of the sporting situation” was followed by the decision.

The former coach of Borussia Dortmund led PSG to two titles in the French League and last season they reached the Champions League final only to lose to Bayern Munich.

But he has clashed with the club hierarchy this season and they still sit third in Ligue 1. In either event, his contract expires in June.

As Tuchel’s successor at the Qatari-backed club, former Tottenham Hotspur coach Mauricio Pochettino, who played for PSG, is being hotly tipped in the media.
